If you have been a member of the Scheme (and/or KiwiSaver) for a combined total period of three years you may make a withdrawal from your Scheme balance to buy your first home or land. You must leave $1,000 in the Scheme. The criteria for this withdrawal are the same as KiwiSaver.
While you are temporarily absent from Beca’s service due to (for example) unpaid parental leave or full-time education or training, your contributions will be suspended. However, if (while otherwise still temporarily absent) you return to performing some part-time work, you can choose to resume contributing to the Scheme.
If you go to work for Beca Group outside of New Zealand either temporarily or permanently this will have an impact on your benefits. Please contact the Administrator to discuss your circumstances prior to travelling overseas.
If you are leaving the employment of Beca New Zealand and are under the age of 65, then, generally speaking, your Locked-in balance must be transferred to a KiwiSaver Scheme and your Savings balances will be paid to you. Please complete the attached form and send it to the Administrator.
If you are aged 55 or more or are being made redundant, there may be circumstances in which you may leave your balances in the Scheme for a maximum period of five years. Contact the Administrator or see the PDS and OMI for more information.
